Chapter 1: A Journey Begins "Gwen!" I woke with a start, my strange dream fading away quickly. "Gwenie!" My mom's voice rang through the eerily silent house. "Coming Mom." I got out of bed and stared at the cloths I had laid out the night before. Today was my eighteenth birthday. I would start my Pokémon journey, as was accustom in Johto. It had been tradition for centuries. I got dressed and headed downstairs. My mom was waiting in the kitchen along with my best friend, Kokuro. "Gwen! Happy birthday!" The girl's long black hair flowed behind her. Kokuro was your normal New Bark beauty, with her strait black hair and dark eyes.
